Our puppies are family to us – we place them in loving homes.

The standards for becoming a guide dog are exceptionally high and not all dogs are suitable for that. Those that do not qualify, are given the opportunity of adoption. The reasons may be of medical or behavioral nature (high activity level, high distractibility, low confidence or fearfulness, incompatibility with cats or other dogs, assertiveness requiring strong handler leadership).

Those adorable dogs are between 1 and 2 years old and in most cases Labrador Retrievers. All our dogs are sterilized, microchipped and up to date with vaccination, heartworm, and worming treatment.

The adoption fee for these dogs is 1000€. Even at that stage, our puppies continue to contribute to Liberty’s mission since the adoption fee is imposed to support Liberty in acquiring a new puppy.
